On the evening of June 18th, the Statenkwartier neighborhood came together for a delightful Outdoor Dinner & Petanque event hosted on the patio of Café Happy Days. Approximately 50 international residents joined in, enjoying a warm and welcoming atmosphere under beautiful weather.
Guests were treated to a delicious Italian buffet featuring three different pasta dishes, two fresh and vibrant salads, and an exceptional tiramisu crafted by Daan, the owner of Café Happy Days. The food received high praise from attendees, contributing to the relaxed and convivial vibe of the evening.
The event not only provided an opportunity to savor great food but also encouraged socializing and friendly competition through petanque games. Many participants took advantage of this chance to connect with neighbors and build friendships, fulfilling the community’s desire for more meet-and-greet gatherings following the successful event in April.
Overall, the evening was a wonderful success, strengthening the vibrant international community of Statenkwartier. We look forward to our monthly happy hours on the third Wednesday of the month, starting in September!
