Voting in The Hague: Meet the Candidates
On Wednesday, 18 March 2026, municipal elections will take place in The Hague and across the Netherlands. If you are eligible to vote and want to learn more about the political parties, their candidates, and the issues that matter to you, we invite you to join us for an English-language debate with twelve local politicians.

On Tuesday, 24 February, these candidates for the City Council will answer your questions and share their views on key local topics, helping international voters make an informed choice.

The event is free of charge, but seating is limited. Please register in advance and submit your questions via the button below.

You are eligible to vote if:
- You are 18 years or older on 18 March 2026;
- You are registered in the Municipality of The Hague on 2 February 2026.
- You have Dutch nationality, the nationality of another EU member state, or have been living legally in the Netherlands for an uninterrupted period of at least 5 years as of February 2, 2026.
